• METAPOL XL 25MG contain Metoprolol Succinate which belongs to a group of medicine called beta-blockers. It is used to treat high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat and prevent heart attack and strokes, angina pectoris, migraine. High blood pressure is a condition in which the force of the blood against the artery wall. Improper beating of the heart, whether irregular, too fast, or too slow. This is also called as irregular heartbeat or arrhythmia.
• Heart attack occurs when blood flow decreases or stops to a part of the heart, causing damage to the heart muscle. This is also called as myocardial infarction. Stroke occurs when a blood vessel that carries oxygen and nutrients to the brain is either blocked by a clot or bursts (or ruptures). Angina pectoris is a type of chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart. Migraine is a neurological condition that can cause multiple symptoms. It is frequently characterized by intense, debilitating headache.
• Always take METAPOL XL 25MG exactly as your doctor has told you. This medicine must be taken with or without food. It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years. It can be taken by adults over the age of 18 years. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.
